The thing I enjoyed the most about working at The Duck Store would be the friendships I've made throughout my time here.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

Human Physiology and Spanish

What are your post-graduation plans?

I plan on moving to Portland to attend the OHSU PA program.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

I want to be a Physician Assistant and I want to be even more rich.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

Throughout my time here I've learned how to problem solve, how to be a leader and how to adapt to certain situations and environments quickly. All of these skills I will certainly take into my future career and opportunities.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

Having an environment with others I can relate to!

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

Human Physiology, B.S.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Move to Portland and work on becoming a travel nurse.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

I want to gain knowledge and experience within the medical field and bring a new personal experience for patients.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

How to problem solve by myself, patience is key, working with a team, and working with others who have a challenge me.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

Being able to create my schedule to work around my classes and working so close to campus.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

I am majoring in Sociology, minoring in Business Administration and Ethics, and will be receiving my Bachelor of Science degree.

What are your post-graduation plans?

I hope to get working right away and eventually be able to travel.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

I want to be able to work in Marketing/Branding and am currently looking into Account Managing. I think working at a creative marketing agency and being able to provide some level of structure and communication in that environment would suit me well.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

It is impossible to please everyone, but trying your absolute best and working hard will always go a long way.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

Being able to help people find the perfect they need for their project.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

Bachelor of Science, Art and Technology.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Finding a summer camp to work at in the UK and visit my family over there.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

To keep making art for a company or studio, and maybe move to a career like product or fashion design!

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

You get a really good ability to read and understand people when you work in retail. Also, being surrounded by so many art supplies gave me a solid understanding of almost every art supply, which I love.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

Hands down the people. I have made some incredible friendships while working at The Duck Store and have a higher standard of comradery and team building in a workplace setting due to this job.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

I graduated at the end of Fall term with a major in Comparative Literature with minors in Interior Architecture and Art History. I focused mainly in German and Scandinavian literature, art, and folklore but did a lot of study in other subjects as well.

What are your post-graduation plans?

I am staying with The Duck Store until I can find a full-time job. I eventually want to go to graduate school and get my PhD but for now I just want to work and do some self-study before further school.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

My eventual goal is to be a writer and professor in Medieval literature and folklore, but in the meanwhile, I am content in any work involving creativity, research, and writing.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

I learned a lot of creativity and problem solving through this job as well as self-sufficiency. I would also say that this job did wonderfully in accommodating neurodiversity and pronouns so I have a higher expectation on the respect I should receive as an employee due to my experiences here.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

So many things, I'd say the first part is the community of people that I have gotten to know and work with since I started here. I have made some forever friends that I am so grateful for. Not to mention the level of marketing and social networking I have been able to achieve while working here. I was able to meet what is now my mentor at my internship, linked up with like-minded people, and so many other things. Outside of what makes me sound like a bore, this place is insanely fun to work at, everyday is something new and I genuinely am excited when I have to spend time in the building.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

I am studying Art History, receiving a BA in the subject, along with a minor in Classical Civilizations as well as Anthropology.

What are your post-graduation plans?

I am pretty easy going when it comes to life, so as long as I am happy I think I'll be fine. I would like to get straight into the work scene right after graduation, whether it be back home in Portland or if I manage to stay in Eugene/wherever. If I'm ever unhappy at 5 or 10 years I will maybe go to grad school, and we'll see from there.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

I hope to eventually be working in a museum doing preparatory or curatorial work, but who knows. I have also been thinking a lot about art appraisal, I don't know much about that career path but have always been intrigued. Any career involving art sounds good. :)

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

People skills, time and resource management, visual merchandising. Just about any aspect of working in retail/customer service. I've been working in retail since I was 17, so I feel like I have learned just about every transferable skill in the book, and I am excited to bring them into future careers.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

I love the people I work with.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

I’m studying marine biology and I will be receiving my Bachelors of Science in Marine Biology.

What are your post-graduation plans?

I’m taking a gap year then going to grad school.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

To be happy.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

I’ve learned how to talk to make meaningful conversations with people I don’t really know.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

I love the positive energy that my coworkers and managers bring! I also love my regulars at the Knight Law Center, they truly know how to brighten my day.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

I’m getting a BA in Anthropology with a minor in Legal Studies.

What are your post-graduation plans?

I plan to go into an internship in the HR field, and take some well deserved time off of school before going back for my masters.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

I plan to work in HR for awhile and eventually open my own bookstore/coffee shop.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

I have learned the true value of teamwork and how a positive attitude can have such an incredible impact on a workplace while working at The Duck Store.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

I really enjoy the people I have been able to meet while working here, I have made some wonderful friends during my time at The Duck Store.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

I am a double-major in art and technology and cinema studies, graduating with a bachelor's of art.

What are your post-graduation plans?

After graduation, I plan on working and building my portfolio as I search for jobs and internships in my career field.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

I would love to be able to work in a creative field, such as animation, film, game design, or graphic design. There are so many inspiring creatives in those fields and I would love to be able to work alongside them.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

There is definitely a lot I can take away, but I think two key skills I have improved would be effective teamwork and communication. There are a lot of small details in the art and school department that really allowed me to deepen my skills and abilities as an effective member of a team.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

I love my coworkers most but I also love talking to students.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

Psychology, Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Pursuing Masters or Ph.D.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

Providing mental health services to youth in either elementary, middle, or a high school setting.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

I learned how to make good conversation with customers and learn about regulars' lives.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

The wonderful Marketing team and all of their creative ideas that bring The Duck Store to life.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Sports Business.

What are your post-graduation plans?

To head back to San Francisco and work in Public Relations.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

To work in the San Francisco Giants front office!

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

Definitely the ability to stop on a dime and pivot creatively based on the existing circumstances.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

I enjoy meeting all the different people who make up the University of Oregon and Eugene.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

I am majoring in Political Science, and minoring in Legal Studies and German. I am receiving a Bachelors of Arts degree.

What are your post-graduation plans?

After graduation I will be celebrating by going on a trip to Las Vegas, and later going to see famous Oregon landmarks.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

I hope to be able to work for a non-profit focused on fostering, improving, and maintaining democracy and civic engagement in the United States.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

The Duck Store has taught me the importance of connecting with people in my community. There are so many unique perspectives and experiences from the people you pass by everyday. So stopping and getting to know those around me has become a very important way for me to expand my views and my community.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

Interacting with different customers and my coworkers.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

Bachelors in Biological Anthropology.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Take a year off then go to grad school for my Master's.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

I'd love to do fieldwork like excavations and also do research on bones.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

Problem solving, interacting with different kinds of people, how to work under pressure and stress.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

What I love the most about working in The Duck Store cafe is my ability to make people's day with a simple cup of coffee. I love meeting new people, bonding with my coworkers on a slower morning, and fulfilling everyone's caffeine addictions.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

I will be receiving a BS with a major in psychology and a minor in sociology.

What are your post-graduation plans?

I plan on making my way back to somewhere in Europe to teach English for a year.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

One day I hope to be able to share my knowledge and help people struggling with mental health. Ultimately, I would love to be a therapist working with young children struggling with mental health disparities.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

Not only have I learned how to make a latte, cappuccino, americano, and everything in between, I have learned so many skills that I will take with me when I get into the real world. Some of these experiences and lessons include spreading positivity and light to everyone. I have found that forming relationships with my regulars and something as simple as memorizing their orders goes a long way in making people feel special.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

All the interesting people I meet working at the mall. lol

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

Public Relations.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Moving to California to work for a PR agency and get my teaching certificate.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

I'd like to work in a big city in California for a PR agency that deals with crisis communication and eventually get my teaching certificate so I can teach PR/Journalism in schools.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

The Duck Store helped me get outside my comfort zone with interacting with customers. I'm able to jump into any conversation or create unique connections with strangers. I'll take this as a networking skill into my career.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

I love interacting with customers and coworkers and bonding over the love for UO that we all share.

What are you studying and what degree will you be receiving?

Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Business and a minor in Economics.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Currently searching for jobs/internships in collegiate and professional sports organizations.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

I would love to end up in the front office of a professional sports organization one day, potentially in Special Events or Sponsorship.

What are some experiences, skills and/or lessons learned while working for The Duck Store you'll take with you into your career?

Being nice is free and being flexible and getting out of your comfort zone is how you learn and create new, fulfilling experiences.

What do you enjoy the most about working at The Duck Store?

Getting to come to work everyday and know that I’ll be working with people I enjoy spending time with.

Business Administration with a concentration in sports business. Receiving a Bachelors of Science.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Enter into the esports or sports industry to do marketing and data analytics for organizations.

What are your career aspirations/goals?

Run an esports organization and create a viable connection between the sports and esports industries.

The ability to connect and make valuable connections with people everyday.
